Tri Peaks Solitaire: Follow the Next Rank

Tri Peaks Solitaire turns the next rank into your next move. Choose an exposed card one higher or one lower than the top draw card, then use that card as the start of another choice. Clear all 28 cards from the peaks to win. Our version is part of Klondike Gold 24K, coming soon for iPhone and iPad.

Find a path through the peaks

The layout contains three overlapping peaks. Only exposed cards can be selected; a covered card becomes available when the two cards beneath it clear. Suit and color do not matter, so a red six can follow a black seven just as easily as another red card can. Each selected card becomes the new top draw card.

A sequence can change direction. From a seven, you might play six, five, six, and seven if those cards are exposed in that order. Ace connects to both two and King, allowing a route such as Queen, King, Ace, two. These connections can turn a short move into a useful chain.

Compare the cards you will reveal

When both a lower and a higher rank are available, look at the layout above them. One option may expose two new choices while another ends immediately. Try to picture the next two or three cards before committing. The longest visible chain is useful, but opening a covered section can also create opportunities that a short-term chain misses.

Repeated ranks deserve attention. If two exposed eights can follow your seven, compare which eight is blocking a card you need. Choosing between equal ranks changes what becomes available, even though both plays look identical at first. Undo gives you room to explore such decisions in the app.

Make the most of one stock pass

Draw a new stock card when the exposed layout offers no useful adjacent rank. The stock is used once in this version, with no recycle, so check the available moves before drawing. A new draw replaces your current starting rank and may open a chain somewhere else on the table.

Klondike Gold 24K includes a solvable Tri Peaks warm-up, hints, optional easy taps, and automatic local saves. The ordinary shuffled game is not guaranteed solvable. You do not need to empty the stock to win: clearing the 28 peak cards is the objective. This is a self-contained card puzzle with no wagering or payouts.

Common questions

Do suits matter in Tri Peaks?

No. Only the rank difference matters. Choose an exposed card one rank above or below the current top draw card, regardless of its suit or color.

Can I play a King on an Ace?

Yes. This version allows Ace–King wrapping, so an Ace can connect with either a two or a King.

Can I recycle the stock?

No. The stock is used once in this Tri Peaks mode. You can win before it is empty by clearing all 28 cards in the peaks.
